Triax Technologies’ Lori Peters Receives Award from Professional Women in Construction

Recognized for Spotlighting the Role of Technology, Real-Time Data for a Safer, Smarter Jobsite

Norwalk, Conn., Dec. 21, 2017 – Triax Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of technology for the connected jobsite, today announced that its Senior Director of Marketing, Lori Peters, has received the 20 Under 40 Outstanding Women in Construction award from the New York chapter of Professional Women in Construction (PWC).

“I’m honored to be among a group of talented professionals recognized by PWC for their contributions to the construction industry,” said Peters. “While women comprise just nine percent of the construction workforce, they are an integral, vibrant and growing part of the industry. These emerging professionals are making a real difference in the space, and I’m pleased to work alongside them to promote a safer, more efficient future for construction.

Peters was recognized for helping contractors build smarter and safer through cutting-edge technology and real-time data. Since joining Triax in March, she helped make its flagship solution for the connected jobsite, Spot-r, the premier brand for wearable safety devices in construction. By shining a spotlight on construction’s demonstrated lack of total jobsite visibility and real-time communication tools, Peters is helping to tackle the industry’s unique safety and productivity challenges.

Spot-r provides real-time, data-driven visibility into workforce and equipment location, activity, and safety, and sends automatic safety alerts to improve response and overall communication on site. Its robust safety and workforce data is also changing the insurance industry’s approach to assessing and managing jobsite risk.

As head of marketing at Triax Technologies, Peters oversees strategic market planning and execution, brand strategy and positioning, and corporate communications and messaging. She has more than ten years of B2B technology experience and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Sacred Heart University.

Now in its tenth year, the 20 under 40 Awards recognize twenty emerging construction business leaders who are making a difference in the community and are committed to career excellence. They are nominated by fellow PWC members, and the final winners are selected by the board and a panel of judges.
